Ontario Big City Mayor’s Press Release: On August 8th, 2024, Ontario Big City Mayors and partners AMO and CMHA Ontario launched “Solve the Crisis”, a campaign that calls on the Provincial and Federal governments to take ACTION and address the humanitarian emergency evolving in our municipalities and cities across Ontario. Homelessness will not be resolved through enforcement and treating symptoms of the problem. Instead we need commitment to investing resources in transitional housing and health supports.
Municipalities have done everything we can; we can’t do this alone.
