Richmond Hill residents are all invited to join a celebration June 29th at the Terry Fox monument in Ransom Park, Richmond Hill as we welcome the Terry Fox Ride of Hope. Led by Darrell Fox, Terry’s younger brother, the National Ride of Hope team is only making one stop in the GTA and it will be here in Richmond Hill!

Darrell remembers vividly the importance of this stop and this community on Terry’s run, 45 years ago in the attached video.

“This year, Darrell is organizing a very special National Ride of Hope in honour of the 45th anniversary of Terry’s Marathon of Hope. This time, it’s literally a Ride as big as our country.

On June 9, a team of eight cyclists will leave Vancouver and pedal 7,000 km to arrive in St. John’s on July 10. In addition to being an epic 32-day tribute to Terry’s legacy, it’s a powerful, poignant way to support his dream of a world without cancer.”
