A New Term of Council and Several Thank Yous

I am honoured to be elected to continue as your Ward 4 councillor. I wanted to take this opportunity to thank all residents of Richmond Hill who voted in the October 27th Municipal election. In particular, I wanted to express my deep gratitude to all my supporters and my campaign team for their dedication and hard work throughout the election period. I would also like to thank the many residents of ward 4 who opened their doors and chatted with me about all that was important to them regarding our great town. There is no question that we have a lot to be proud of in Richmond Hill, and as some residents outlined to me, a few needed improvements would make us even better. I look forward to working to preserve what makes us a great community and implement these improvements to benefit our residents.

A lot is happening in Richmond Hill this week as we move into the holiday season. We have the Santa Claus Parade taking place on Yonge Street this Sunday (see article below), we also have the Festival of Lights, and a number of Diwali celebrations taking place as a part of the festive season. As of today, it would also seem that we are getting some early practice at shovelling snow!
Effectively communicating with my constituents remains a priority for me. I intend to continue my monthly e-newsletters as I have done over the past year. Please feel free to forward this e-newsletter to friends or neighbours, and if you have any questions, concerns, kudos or suggestions for future articles, please feel free to contact me. I am always happy to hear from residents!

My email address is [email protected], my cell number is 416-346-3090 and my office number is 905-771-2480.

Sincerely,
David West
Ward 4 Councillor Richmond Hill
