National Flight of the Monarch Day in Richmond Hill

Happy Flight of the Monarch Day Richmond Hill!

Our community has declared today, August 22nd, as the Flight of the Monarch Day in order to celebrate the beginning of the Monarch Butterfly’s migration to Mexico. To mark this occasion I have initiated the Councillor West Monarch Tagging Challenge. With the help of Richmond Hill residents we have set a goal to tag 100 Monarch Butterflies to help researchers at Monarch Watch study and help this threatened species. To find out more enjoy a video I produced visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYfXNijXHZ4 and visit https://davidwest-richmondhill.ca/councillor-west-monarch-tagging-challenge/.
