On September 28th I hosted a Residents’ Meeting regarding the above noted development application. This was a very well attended meeting with over 100 people participating. I want to thank the members of the community who took time from their busy schedules to attend this meeting. The applicant presented their development proposal to the audience and we had a chance to field many excellent questions and comments from those in attendance.
As a next step, there will be a legislated Council Public Meeting on Wednesday November 4th at 7:30 (see official notification below). This meeting will be an opportunity for residents to make their views known to the entire Council. It will be held in the Council Chambers on the first floor of the Town Building at 225 East Beaver Creek Road. I would encourage you to attend this meeting as there will be an opportunity for anyone who wishes to speak about the application.
There will be no decision by council made at this meeting. It is an opportunity to make views known to our planning staff, the applicant and all of council. All input gathered in the two meetings and the many emails I have received up to this point, will be taken by staff and considered as the application moves through the planning process and toward a decision by council at some point in the future. Please stay tuned to this newsletter for updates and news on this and other applications in Ward 4.
