April in Richmond Hill

As a friend said to me the other day, “the Richmond Hill Glacier has receded”. Considering the winter we had I think this a sure sign of spring!
As this “glacial melt” occurs, remaining tree debris previously buried under snow and left over from December’s ice storm, is being revealed. A final sweep of the chipper trucks will happen after April 22nd. Please have all debris unbundled and left at the curb side for pick up. We have also started normal yard waste pick up. Bundled branches and yard waste will be picked up as usual on the scheduled yard waste pick up days (click here for your yard waste dates)
To all of my Jewish Friends – Happy Passover, and to my Christian Friends – Happy Easter. May this holiday bring great family fellowship and happiness.
With the nicer weather I invite you to get out and enjoy some outdoor activities available in Richmond Hill. Some of my favourite spring activities include a walk on the Saigeon Trail (click here for location), a walk in the forest in Twickenham Park (click here for location), or a stroll into the Historic Village Core (click here for details). Of course the Mill Pond is also a great destination with its new playground structure (click here for details). Whatever you do, enjoy the warm spring weather in Richmond Hill (click here for details).
