City of Richmond Hill “Mayor for a Day” 2024

Do you have ideas to make Richmond Hill an even better place to live?

Are you interested in being Mayor for a day?
Mayor David West invites students in grades 5-7 who live in Richmond Hill to join him and experience a Day in the Life of the Mayor of the City of Richmond Hill.
The winner of the Mayor for a Day contest will get a behind-the-scenes look at how municipal government functions. They will have the opportunity to attend meetings, tour Richmond Hill City Hall, meet City staff, take photos in the Council Chambers and, of course, spend the day with Mayor David West learning what it’s really like to be Mayor!  One highlight of the day will be the opportunity to meet with the Mayor and City Staff to discuss your essay recommendations.
