International Day of Pink

Wednesday April 13th is International Day of Pink which was started by two students in Nova Scotia in 2007 when they saw a friend who was gay being bullied for his pink shirt.  From those simple roots, now it is acknowledged internationally as a day against bullying, discrimination, homophobia, transphobia and transmisogyny in communities around the world.  Today, I am proud to wear pink to continue drawing attention to this important conversation.
